Crossing the Finish Line

What does it take?

In order to provide excellence in teaching PE, an additional gymnasium is needed on the 12th Street campus. Presently the current gymnasium houses two classes (one elementary and one middle school) simultaneously with a curtain in between. The limited space plus the noise level hinders the ability to teach and learn. We broke ground on the gymnasium in October 2021, and it is set to be completed by end of Summer 2022. Now is the time to finish the middle school building project and raise $869K dollars.

In order to eliminate debt completely, we need to hack away at $869K over the next year –our loan is up for refinancing on July 1, 2024 and we’d love to be debt free by then!

What’s involved?

  1. Donor Meetings (to schedule a meeting to talk about your gift, please call the office at 269-381-2044)
  2. Special Events like the Finish Line 5K and ongoing Comet Partner campaigns held throughout the year.
  3. Major Donor Receptions (typically in the spring.)

How can I help?

Schedule a meeting with Marc Verkaik to make a pledge or gift.
