The Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)

Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP) is an opportunity for present and future families to accumulate tuition credit.

Through this program, bulk quantities of gift certificates from retail merchants are purchased at a discount. The certificates are sold to participating families at face value, and the discount is passed on in the form of tuition credit.

Questions? Email Barb Patterson at trip@kcsa.org.

REGISTRATION

Everyone participating in the TRIP program must re-register every year! Now we call this form the “Waiver." If you require a hard copy, please stop by the Association Office at the High School.

PAYMENT

Payment must be made with must each order in the form of a check or cash. Checks should be made payable to KCSA TRIP. Your check is not a tax-deductible donation because you are receiving dollar for dollar value.

BACKORDERS

If TRIP runs out of a certificate that you have ordered and already paid for, you will be issued a backorder for the exact quantity and type of card you ordered. The cards will be distributed to you the following week in a separate envelope. TRIP is unable to substitute cards once a backorder has been placed.

TRIP IS FOR EVERYONE

Anyone can participate in TRIP. Parents, guardians, grandparents, and friends are all welcome to purchase and use certificates.

TRIP participants may direct their tuition credit to their personal account, the account of another family, to the general tuition assistance fund, or to another Christian School outside of the Kalamazoo area. Credit can also be divided up to assist more than one family.

We encourage future families to get started with TRIP. Tuition credit can be continually accrued and applied to the first tuition payment(s) when they start at KCS. Any account that is dormant (no activity) for one year will have any accrued balance donated to the Tuition Assistance Fund. If you are transferring to a Christian School in another city, you may have your credits forwarded to your new school.

TRIP credits will be credited to each account four times per year, but YOU MAY NOT ACCRUE TRIP CREDITS IF YOU HAVE AN OUTSTANDING BALANCE.

Weekly TRIP

During the school year, TRIP orders are filled each Wednesday. You can access the order form online, in the Association Office at the High School campus, or in the Main Office at the 12th St. campus.

Orders will be processed and delivered
by 2 p.m. each Wednesday to the pick-up location selected on your TRIP Waiver Form.

Order forms and payment should be emailed to trip@kcsa.org by 5 p.m. on Tuesday or dropped off at the offices of either campus before 8 a.m. on Wednesday.

Summer TRIP hours may vary.

Here are three ways to participate in TRIP.

Instant TRIP

Instant TRIP is a limited supply of certificates that are stored all year long at the Association Office. You can complete an order form, pay by cash or check, and take the certificates with you in one visit!

The KCSA Office is located in the High School with hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Summer hours may vary.

Online ordering is available 24/7! You can order physical cards or E-script through RaiseRight. This gives you the freedom from carrying around certificates.

E-script can be printed or used virtually as stores allow.

RaiseRight

Please note that because TRIP certificates are actual gift cards, they are to be treated as cash. If cards are lost or stolen, it is not possible to replace them. Please be aware of the risk involved sending certificates home with students or by sending them in the mail. Neither Kalamazoo Christian Schools nor the TRIP committee accepts responsibility for lost, stolen, or misplaced TRIP cards.
