Tuition is based on cost of education. In our efforts to be attainable to anyone who desires Christ-centered education, we do offer financial aid for those who qualify. You can view current rates here.

Yes. You may choose the plan that works best for your family. You may choose to pay monthly or annually. Choosing to pay annually allows a discount of $50 per child.

Fill out the Financial Aid application.  It takes about 45 minutes of your time. FACTS will provide the school with their determination of what your family is able to pay in tuition. The school determines financial aid based on a family’s level of need as well as funds available in the Annual Fund.

The school typically sends an email notifying parents of aid awarded 3-4 weeks after the application has been submitted. If you have any questions about this process please contact tuition@kcsa.org.

We provide a Christ-centered education across all divisions of the school and encourage church attendance for all students in K-12. Every family is asked to acknowledge the importance of the home, school and church partnership and commit to that partnership as a family.

Families are free to choose any church they would like to attend.

If you have a local church home, you are asked to please have your pastor complete the Pastor’s Recommendation form as part of the Application. If you are moving into the area, or currently do not have a church home but are looking to find one, please inform us in your application.

In our efforts to provide the highest quality of education, we use what we consider to be the best textbook for the specific area being taught. Therefore, we use a variety of textbooks.

We believe that a textbook in the hands of a Christian teacher can be an amazing tool, especially as we view all of life from a Reformed Worldview.

Anyone living in the Kalamazoo Public school system receives busing from that district. For those who live outside of those school districts, we provide Kalamazoo Christian School bus transportation for a nominal fee. We also offer a “shuttle” from the 12th St. location to the High School each morning for families with students at both locations. More detailed busing information is available on request by calling (269) 381-2044.

We do not have uniforms. We do have a dress code that is enforced and can be read about in our school manual.

Yes, all of our teachers are state-certified. Our system financially supports and requires continuing education and professional development for our staff. Many of our staff members have advanced degrees in their field.

Our average class size is about 22 students. Our Enrollment Team has more information about specific grades and programs (e.x. Spanish Immersion, Nature Preschool, etc.). They are available via the Association/Administration Office at 269-381-2044.

Upon graduation, our Kalamazoo Christian High School students join our community of alumni. 96% of KCHS graduates continue their education at a college or university. KCHS offers Advanced Placement courses and college credit is available through dual enrollment KVCC and WMU. Students in the Spanish Immersion program will graduate from high school with credits at Western Michigan University equalling a Spanish Minor.

Bible classes are taught at each grade level and emphasize Biblical events, understanding God’s will for our lives, and knowledge of church history.

KCS has nine Faithlines at the core of our vision.

Each school hosts regularly-scheduled chapels and prayer times.

Our students volunteer over 6,000 hours in the local community each year. Staff members are committed Christians providing spiritual leadership in the classrooms and the community.

Bible courses begin with a child- like foundation of faith and wonderment in preschool, advancing to deeper exposure to Bible stories and memory work as elementary school progresses. By middle school students learn habits of faith while in high school the Bible courses allow students to mature in their faith, study apologetics, and wrestle with ethical, doctrinal, and cultural topics.

We have a variety of extracurriculars for our students including athletics, the arts, STEM and leadership. Extracurriculars can begin in middle school.

Kalamazoo Christian High School offers 15 different sports including basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball and track and field. Many of the athletic teams have gone on to win conference and state championships.

KCHS also has National Honors Society, Prayer Group, Emu Club, TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Math and Science) Club, Quiz Bowl, Science Olympiad and Drama Club. Students can learn leadership in Student Ambassadors and Student Council. KCS engages in the arts through Drama, Band, Choir, Chamber Singers, Theatre, and Art.
