Mike Schield joined the Kalamazoo Christian High School Community as the Varsity Girls Golf Coach in 2020. Currently the PGA Professional and General Manager at X-Golf Kalamazoo, Schield’s experience as a golf professional has spanned the globe. From 2009 – 2018 Mike was based in Southern China where he served as the Head Instructor at the World’s Largest Golf Club and held various other roles in the golf industry. Mike’s passion lies in Elite Junior Golf Development, and over the course of his career has worked with Elite Junior Golfers, Division 1 Collegiate Athletes and Professional Golfers. In his second season as Head Coach at Kalamazoo Christian, Schield was voted as the Regional Coach of the Year after leading the Comet’s to their first Regional Title and 6th Place Finish at the State Tournament. Mike is originally from Wisconsin and is a graduate of Methodist University’s PGA PGM program (2008) in North Carolina.
