Serving since 2012.
Bachelor's in Education with a Minor in Bilingual Education from the "Universidad Pedagógica de Honduras" that partners with Calvin University, and a Master's in Spanish from WMU.
Vanessa has been teaching for 32 years. She has a BS in Bilingual Education, a Master’s in Spanish and experience in teaching from preschool to 6th grade. Prior to moving to Kalamazoo, she was a third grade teacher at IST International School, a private Christian school in Honduras. Afterwards, she felt it was God’s plan to have my family join the KCSA family, where my children could continue to receive a Christ-centered education. Her husband, Luis, and herself have four wonderful children– Elena, Ashley, Isabella and Sebastian, and our first grandson, Andreas Luca, who are their precious gifts and joy from God. She is truly thankful for the opportunity God has given me to be a part of the KCSA family, it’s been a blessing. Likewise, getting to meet all the amazing, supportive families throughout the years has been rewarding. Also, being able to be part of the spiritual growth of my students and see how they have followed God’s path these past 12 years has been rewarding. She is excited to continue this path God’s has set forth for me at KCSA, and being able to do so with my family‘s support, KCSA family, and God’s endless strength, which He promises in Philippians 4:13.
