Sheryl graduated from Western Michigan University with an interiors degree and practiced commercial interior design for many years. She taught at WMU in the interiors department for five years when her children were little. She began volunteering with Kalamazoo Christian when her oldest began kindergarten and then quickly moved into serving hot lunch. She enjoyed seeing the kids and getting to know the parents that would volunteer. It was only natural for her to want to continue being involved with the school family and be a part of the office staff team.
