Rachael is a 1993 graduate of KCHS. She holds a bachelor's degree from Calvin University.

She and her husband, Chris Batts, have three daughters who have also attended KCS. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, baking, reading, shopping and spending time with family and friends. Their family attends Radiant Church in Portage, MI.

She loves teaching at Kalamazoo Christian as it is a wonderful community and it is part of her roots. She is blessed to be able to incorporate her faith into her teaching and talking about God and how much He loves us! One of her favorite times of the day is sharing prayer requests and hearing the earnest requests and praises from God's little people.

Rachael's favorite Bible verse is Romans 15:13, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
