While at Calvin University, God gave Lauren the opportunity to student teach in a dual-language first grade classroom, which solidified her desire to teach in Spanish. After three years of teaching in Honduras, her and her husband returned to West Michigan to be near family and found their next adventure in moving to Kalamazoo, MI to work with the Spanish Immersion program. It made her smile when she realized she would teach the same curriculum from my year of student teaching in Spanish. God had truly prepared Lauren for this position. She has loved watching and helping the Spanish Immersion program and its students grow. She also loves how the KCS community truly seeks to love God and love others in all that they do.
