Kristen is 2000 alum of Kalamazoo Christian. She holds a bachelor's degree in secondary education with a major in Spanish and a minor in communications and a master's degree in the practice of teaching from Western Michigan University.

She has always loved being able to share her faith through her teaching. She enjoys interacting with KCS families, learning about new cultures and visiting other countries to immerse herself. God has created so many different cultures, languages and people and she gets the opportunity to introduce students to all of them.

Kristen enjoys traveling, swimming, doing puzzles and hanging out with family and friends. She attends Second Christian Reformed Church in Kalamazoo, MI.
