Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions we receive.

Is Kalamazoo Christian part of the MHSAA?

Kalamazoo Christian High School is a part of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA).

At the Middle School level, KCS participates in Cross Country, Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Boys Football and Track through the MHSAA.

Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation offers our students the opportunity to compete in Golf, Bowling, E-Sports and Archery. Because these sports are run through KZoo Parks, there is a fee for each sport. KCMS will provide information on each sport as the season approaches. Visit  www.kzooparks.org/Programs to learn more.

To compete in MHSAA athletics a student must have a completed Athletic Physical. We use FinalForms here at KCMS and students need to be registered and have a physical uploaded on file in order to practice or play an interscholastic sport. Amy Fetterley (afetterley@kcsa.org) manages FinalForms for KCMS and can help with any questions.

KCMS introduces intramurals as part of the curriculum. Students get to be a part of a team, stay active during recess time, and develop basic skills in sports. Some of the previous intramurals offered have been soccer, flag football, volleyball, basketball, floor hockey, wiffle ball and softball.
