Middle School Teams
Kalamazoo Christian Middle School offers five MHSAA team sports for males and five MHSAA team sports for females.
Additionally, KCMS has a partnership with Kalamazoo Parks And Recreation that offers six co-ed sport opportunities.
All middles schooolers participate in intramural athletics during the school week as a sanctioned, team-building activity to fulfill their physical education requirement.

Is Kalamazoo Christian part of the MHSAA?
Kalamazoo Christian High School is a part of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA).
At the Middle School level, KCS participates in Cross Country, Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Boys Football and Track through the MHSAA.
What is KCS and Kzoo Parks Partnership?
Kalamazoo Parks and Recreation offers our students the opportunity to compete in Golf, Bowling, E-Sports and Archery. Because these sports are run through KZoo Parks, there is a fee for each sport. KCMS will provide information on each sport as the season approaches. Visit www.kzooparks.org/Programs to learn more.
What forms need to be completed to participate in athletics?
To compete in MHSAA athletics a student must have a completed Athletic Physical. We use FinalForms here at KCMS and students need to be registered and have a physical uploaded on file in order to practice or play an interscholastic sport. Amy Fetterley (afetterley@kcsa.org) manages FinalForms for KCMS and can help with any questions.
What are intramurals?
KCMS introduces intramurals as part of the curriculum. Students get to be a part of a team, stay active during recess time, and develop basic skills in sports. Some of the previous intramurals offered have been soccer, flag football, volleyball, basketball, floor hockey, wiffle ball and softball.
