Building on our Foundation
Kalamazoo Christian has always been a school that intentionally works towards building a foundation in students’ lives. We know we don’t achieve this without the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in the lives of our families.
The Building on our Foundation capital campaign is our way to prepare for the future of Christian Education in Kalamazoo, MI.
CONTINUING THE LEGACY
The Comet Fund and The Kalamazoo Christian School Foundation 1877 Society
Each year, KCS gives out over $1.3 Million in financial aid through the Comet Fund that helps our families invest in their children at KCS. $880,000 goes to needs based financial aid while over $500,000 goes to families from our 2nd Impressions Thrift Store. The Comet Fund goes toward needs based financial assistance.
The Kalamazoo Christian School Foundation was established in 1993 with the goal to support the school with long term funding, scholarships and grants. The foundation currently has assets over $7 million with a goal of $20 million. The only way the foundation grows is through individuals who leave KCSA in their future plans. This can happen as you establish your estate plan or will or if you leave memorials or bequests.
Through this campaign, we aim to continue to contribute $425,000 annually to the Comet Fund and increase membership into the 1877 Society by 100 individuals.
