Elementary School
Kalamazoo Christian Elementary School has a strong emphasis on learning to read and write with fluency, developing math thinking skills and building social skills.
We build on the curiosity of this age group to provide learning opportunities that get students asking questions, exploring the world around them and taking part in hands on, social and digital learning that supports the primary goals of reading, writing and math development.
A Kalamazoo Christian Education
At Kalamazoo Christian, your child(ren) will be educated with an excellent curriculum, integrated with Christian perspectives and practices.
Academically Excellent
By emphasizing both the skills and the content knowledge that students need in elementary school to become well rounded learners, our teachers are able to provide academic support to make learning possible.
Undeniably Christian
Through teacher-led devotions, Bible classes and connection to our Faithlines, our students are given the daily opportunity to live out their faith. On Fridays, students either participate in grade level singing time, community groups or Chapel in the gym.
Core Classes
Students learn about local communities, Christmas around the world, people groups from the past in the United States, the history of Michigan and the regions of the United States with an emphasis on history and geography.
Science provides hands on learning opportunities focused on phenomenon-based science practices. Students ask questions and construct explanations about weather, living things and motion.
