Why Kalamazoo Christian?

Kalamazoo Christian Schools educates undeniably Christian, academically excellent students with a well-rounded education and co-curricular opportunities.

ABOUT KCSA

Faith-Based Education

By participating in Bible classes, chapel and service projects, Christian values are an integrated part of the education at Kalamazoo Christian Schools. Our teachers and staff are intentional about connecting subject matter to what the Bible says and asking questions about real-life application.

From our preschool to our high school, each child is encouraged to explore, understand and delight in God’s kingdom.

Faithlines

These nine Faithlines visually represent how we want to be disciples transforming the world. Each year, we chose a theme Faithline to study across all of our schools.

Why KCSA-1

Academic Excellence

Kalamazoo Christian Schools is accredited by Christian Schools International and Cognia, and has Candidate Status from CESA. From Preschool through graduation, all of our students are poured into academically in order to prepare them for the next stage of their life.

Each curricular area goes through a curriculum review once every five years. During that review, teacher and administrative staff review the current curriculum, taking into consideration the learning standards being used, assessments and assessment data for the past five years, teaching practices, student needs and surveys of stakeholders.

At Kalamazoo Christian School, the foundation of all we do is the Bible–God’s Holy, inspired, unchanging, and inerrant Word. Our students receive a solid foundation in the development of a Biblical worldview.

Being God Glorifiers is recognizing and honoring God with our thoughts, words, and actions.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

1 Corinthians 10:31

Being Beauty Creators is using our God-given talents, reflecting. his beauty in all we think and do. Because we are image bearers of a creative God, we have the ability and longing to create.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

Colossians 3:23

Being Creation Carers we work to enjoy, protect and restore God’s creation.

“The Earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”

Psalm 24:1

Being Faith Nurturers is continuing to grow in God’s word daily through reading devotions, studying the Bible and engaging in fellowship with believers to deepen the roots of our faith.

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing in thankfulness.”

Colossians 2:6-7

Being Image Reflectors is valuing and respecting ourselves and others as we recognize that we are all made in the image of God.

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Ephesians 2:10

As Justice Seekers we develop a biblical understanding of our broken world and, by following Christ’s example, work to renew it.

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Micah 6:8

Our responsibility is to care for and wisely use all that God has placed under our earthly authority including our time, talents and our treasures.

“For Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

1 Peter 4:10

Being Kingdom Builders is using our head, heart and hands to build His kingdom. We know God’s word is true (head), therefore we love our neighbors (heart) and serve our communities (hands).

Being Truth Pursuers is grounding ourselves in the Word of God, allowing it to direct our world view and discern truth.

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding”

Proverbs 2:6
