Kalamazoo Christian High School
Established in 1939, Kalamazoo Christian High School has been providing a high-quality Christian secondary education to area students for over 70 years. Students at KCHS are given the unique opportunity to continue their growth both spiritually and academically, and we support them as they search for their place and purpose in the world. As they gain knowledge and understanding throughout their high school years, KCHS students are encouraged to look at the world through the lens of God’s Word. Meanwhile, they are challenged academically and prepared for the transition to higher education.
KCHS enrolls an average of 250 students each year in grades 9 – 12. Over half of our staff members hold an advanced degree, and the average class size is only 22 students. Our students regularly achieve higher-than-average scores on the MME and ACT, with 95% of seniors advancing to college after graduation. Advanced Placement courses are also offered, giving students the opportunity to earn college credit.
Since moving to the current facility in 1960, this private Christian school offers even more to students with a larger campus that includes several on-site high school athletic facilities. In addition, there are a number of classes and extracurricular activities that allow students to explore their talents in the arts.
We have been accredited by The North Central Association of Secondary Schools since 1989. In addition, KCHS has been honored as an "Exemplary School" in the U.S.O.E. Exemplary School National Recognition Program.
