Committees and Councils
All members of the school board and the school councils also serve on a Board Committee. This is where much of the activity and work takes place during a school year. The board has four standing committees (see chart below).
School Councils provide an advisory role to both the board and their local school campuses (high school, middle school, and elementary school). They work together with administrators to handle issues within each school and to facilitate upward and downward communication between the board and school families. Each member is elected to a 3-year term at the annual Association Meeting held in the spring.
